So with heavy rain and temps going up no ice is safe. There was only 2 inches today. A couple of cold days does not make a pond safe. Please stay away from Lodge ice until further notice.
Let me start by saying Happy 2017.
Warm temps are back which are not good for the Lodge. If we get lucky we could possibly open next weekend.
Please remember we only open at 5 inches of ice. A few days of freezing temps won’t always do the trick. We will monitor all week.
We will test the ice later this morning. Fingers crossed.
shoveling snow off of the ice on Saturday will cripple us for the rest of the winter so please have your children stay off lodge iced this Saturday

This week at Town Meeting a warrant was passed to secure $80,000 for the Permitting and Planning of the Memorial Pond Dredge. We have been working on this for the last 6 years and finally making progress.
Raising awareness in the community does work!!!
